Flu Clinics

Influenza Vaccination 2020

Flu Clinic Procedure on the Day

Addingham Medical Centre is running a pre-booked ‘Over 65 flu clinic’ on Saturday 19th September from 0800 – 1415. Entrance to the practice will be at the back of the practice, via the green gates to the right of Rowlands Pharmacy.

If you are unwell, have a fever, have Covid19 symptoms or been told to self isolate, you must NOT attend under any circumstances. Please rebook when you are well or out of self isolation.

Please arrive at your booked appointment time – do not come too early as we do not want any overcrowding.

There will be hand sanitizer available at the entrance to the practice. Patients attending the clinic must wear face coverings that cover the nose and mouth. Please have your sleeve rolled up ready for the vaccination and ensure you abide by the social distancing rules whilst queuing in the back car park and when in the building.

We are operating a strict one way route throughout the building. Once inside you will be directed to the next available consultation room. After you have been vaccinated you will leave the consultation room and exit the practice via the fire exit door which will bring you out by the playground at the top of the Memorial Hall Car Park.

Please follow the instructions of the staff who are supervising the flow of patients. They are there to ensure everyone’s safety.

We will not be operating any other services during this time.

Thank you for your help and co-operation.

Are you aged 65 and above OR under 65 at risk ? *Please note this does not currently include the new government COVID-19 risk groups and further information will follow for these patients*.

If so you are eligible for a free flu vaccination and we would like to invite you to book an appointment at one of the following clinics:

For patients 65 years and over ONLY

Saturday 19th September 2020 – 08:00 to 14.15 – appointments available to book through SystmOnline or via Reception.

To make your appointment for the over 65 flu clinic: please go to SystmOnline and  click on ‘Appointments’ at the top of the screen then chose book appointment. Follow the log in instructions, select the week the date of your chosen clinic is scheduled, then scroll down for the available flu appointments. Alternatively you can speak to a receptionist to book an appointment.

For patients under 65 years at risk ONLY (after 12th October )

Appointments available to book via Reception with the members of the nursing team.

50-64 year old age group (who are not in an at risk group)

Patients will not be vaccinated until November and December. Providing there is sufficient vaccine, available appointments will be offered at this time.  This is to ensure that those who are most at risk are vaccinated first. If you are aged 50-64 and you are in one of the other groups which is eligible for the flu vaccination, for example you have a health condition which puts you at risk from the flu, you will be invited earlier.
